Gladys Selfridge


Gladys Selfridge is the Institutional Research Manager for UC San Diego Extension. She has led numerous research efforts including surveys, interviews, and focus group efforts. Selfridge has experience working with workforce agencies, education systems, high school districts, community colleges, and universities.

Ms. Selfridge holds a BA in Sociology with a minor in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San Diego; she earned her Sociology degree with High Distinction Honors and graduated Magna Cum Laude (while working full-time). Her undergraduate work includes qualitative and quantitative research of day laborers experiences and analysis of multilingual education impact at the K-12 education level. Ms. Selfridge is a strong proponent using data to guide programmatic and organizational decisions.

She worked at the Rady School of Management for seven years, followed by a local economic development agency. Selfridge now works at UC San Diego Extension leading Institutional Research.
