The nation's workplaces are significantly safer due to UC San Diego Extension and an innovation that made occupational health and safety training readily available.
As UC San Diego OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) reaches the 30th anniversary, it is estimated that 80,000 students have taken one of the many classes offered for safety training.
By being in Region IX, UC San Diego offers training to private and public sector employees in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
