Lessons in Empathy, Advocacy, and Understanding
Featured Speaker: Suzy Fincham-Gray, BVetMed, MFA
Veterinarian Suzy Fincham-Gray will shed light on the universal experience of loving, healing, and losing our beloved pets, including the many ways that they transform our lives. She will share some of the stories from her veterinary journey from the English-Welsh border to an inner city Philadelphia ER to the U.S. West Coast. She will present stories of several of her patients, helping us to experience the joy of saving an animal from disease, working with animals in need of intensive care, and exploring the lengths doctors will go to save a patient.
Suzy Fincham-Gray is a veterinarian and author. She graduated with honors from the Royal Veterinary College in London. She is a board-certified small-animal internal-medicine specialist. Fincham-Gray also earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Riverside in Palm Desert. Her first book, Patients and Other Animals, was published in 2018.mi
