Featured Speaker: Robert Fox, MD, PhD
During the past 20 years, we have had an explosion of new therapies for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus, and other forms of vasculitis. Even when we reduce the joint swelling or rash significantly, the patients frequently have disabling fatigue and brain fog. After COVID infection and the emergence of these symptoms as part of a post-viral syndrome, there is new interest in how autoantibodies may be generated to improve blood flow to the brain. These antibodies target the autonomic nervous system and may represent the next great frontier in neuro-immune research leading to new and better therapies.
