America’s Security in an Era of Confrontation and Conflict

Speaker Vice Admiral Charles W. Martoglio, U.S. Navy (Ret)
Coordinator Steve Clarey
Vice Admiral Martoglio returns to Osher bringing
his practitioner’s experience to today’s increasingly
threatening and perilous security environment. His
non-political focus will be on the importance of the
next few years in determining America’s position
in the 21st century. There are significant changes
taking place in the world’s security environment,
and their impact on America and key global
nations is profound. This lecture will consider their
aspirations and challenges and the critical nature
of America’s alliances in deterring and, if necessary,
defeating a growing range of adversaries in a world
characterized by escalating confrontation
and conflict.
