UC San Diego Extension forms alliance with Voice of San Diego
UC San Diego Extension has entered into a marketing agreement with the Voice of San Diego, a nonprofit website dedicated to issues of significance that impact San Diego, including politics, government and social causes.
“We are proud to join forces with Voice of San Diego, which has proven to be an intellectually lively, thought-provoking forum for our region,” said Mary Walshok, Dean of the UC San Diego Extension. “We take pride in serving our similar favored audiences, those citizens and civic-minded leaders who care deeply about the betterment of their city in the related realms of higher education, community involvement and innovation.”
The alliance will focus on UC San Diego Extension’s broad-based efforts to instruct, inspire and motivate adult students who seek to heighten their career skills and goals. Along with brand-centered ads, a series of blog postings – under the heading “Partner Voices” – will profile notable instructors, students, programs and events of interest to Voice of San Diego’s readers and supporters.
UC San Diego Extension reaches more than 45,000 students annually through courses, programs, lectures and events delivered locally, abroad and online.
Founded in 2005 by La Jolla-based entrepreneur Buzz Woolley and the late Neil Morgan, the respected newspaper columnist, editor and author who recently passed away, Voice of San Diego is supported by foundation grants, member donations, limited advertising and media partnerships. The site is updated regularly each with news, analysis and opinions.
