The Blue Prosperity Training Program is offered by Noo Raajje, an initiative to protect the ocean and its resources in order to build a bright future for communities, the economy, and the environment. This Training Program has been developed by the Blue Prosperity Coalition, Waitt Institute, and the Government of the Maldives, including the President's Office and the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture, and staff from the Maldives Marine Research Institute. The program promotes the advancement of Maldivian ocean science and stewardship through education and capacity building to support the development of a comprehensive plan for ocean health in the Maldives.
Program includes five individual modules each of which are three weeks in length
Students will receive a Certificate of Achievement for the completion of each individual module
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded by the University of California San Diego Division of Extended Studies upon the completion of all five modules

Learn about concepts, tools, and processes for marine spatial planning in this hands on training. July 12 - July 30, 2021
Learn key concepts, methods, tools in blue economy planning. August 9 - August 30, 2021
Gain advanced training in data analysis and visualization. September 6 - September 24
Gain insight in how to manage small-scale, nearshore, data-limited fisheries, and MPA conservation and fisheries related benefits. October 4 - October 22, 2021
