You've perfected your editing skills, taken out your business license, and printed business cards. The next step is building connections and finding clients, but how do you find them? You need to have a strategy and you must know how to market yourself! In the Marketing for Copyeditors course, you will learn how to identify your strengths and you will explore the right niche for marketing your business. This includes investigating ways to promote your services through online and offline strategies. At the end of the course, you will have a schedule and a three-month marketing plan to put into action. Through this class, you will discover how to best determine the demographics and psychographics of your ideal clients and how to market to them. More importantly, you will also develop your marketing message and materials, and decide on strategies to generate qualified leads. As you work through assignments, you will learn how to become a marketing pro!
What You Will Learn:
- Define your strengths and skills to find a niche or copyediting specialty.
- Develop your marketing message and create promotional materials and presentations that relay your message.
- Draft a marketing plan with scheduled actions, accountability, and assessment.
