The Induction Mentor Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) course provides mentors with opportunities to guide and assist candidates as they create an ILP that will work to guide and document professional growth throughout the duration of the Induction Program. Through self-assessment, reflection and mentor observation, mentors will support candidates as they develop their ILP. The ILP will guide their Induction experience for the duration of their experience in the program and will help them formulate specific professional goals based on their individual teaching assignments, interests and needs. The course will also include Mentoring/Coaching Professional Development, and Professional Readings.
Note:
Site-Based Mentors must be approved in the Induction program before enrolling. Mentors enroll into the respective Mentor course section with the same instructor and start and end dates as their Induction Candidate’s course. The corresponding Induction Candidate course is Induction Individualized Learning Plan. Please review the Induction Candidate and Mentor Course Alignment for the full list of courses.
