
Learn how to create loops and interactive code in order to create two different types of games.
Students will be able to create two different games by using Scratch and MS MakeCode. Logical thinking and creating loops and interactive code are essential learning outcomes with both software applications. Debugging code, peer collaboration and feedback are also critical learning outcomes.
What You Will Learn
Students in High School: Video Game Design using Scratch and MS MakeCode Arcade will:
- Learn the basics of Scratch and block-based code
- Practice simple movement with Scratch
- Learn the basics of MS MakeCode
- Learn about “top down” perspective in game design
