This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the interpreting profession, encompassing an analysis of potential career paths, the multifaceted role of the interpreter, and pertinent administrative and ethical considerations. Additionally, the curriculum provides an in-depth overview of the three primary modes of interpretation—sight, consecutive, and simultaneous—alongside a detailed examination of the various domains in which interpretation is practiced, including legal, medical, business, community, and conference settings.
Note: This course is only open to high school students. Participants must complete this course series in order, earning a passing grade in each course before enrolling in the next one.
