Tom is a graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics. Tom currently works as a product manager on the Clinical Decision Support team with HealthIT at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He is a PRN clinical staff pharmacist at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN, as well. His current research and interests include: health information technology and applications, computational biology, and general computer science and programming. He was one of six students nationwide to be accepted into the Stanford University Medicine X Emerging Leader Program, allowing him to attend Stanford MedX, the university’s premier program focusing on how emerging technologies will advance health care while enabling patients to be active participants in their own care. At the MedX and otherconferences, Wilson was able to gain insight on blockchain technology, artificial technology and machine learning and how best to implement these powerful tools in the healthcare.
