Dr. Sara Kamali is a seasoned educator passionate about advancing equity inside and outside of the classroom. She teaches Copyediting II and III, Memoir Writing, and Developing Unforgettable Characters and is dedicated to supporting students of different backgrounds through their educational and professional journeys.
In addition to teaching, she also develops courses within the Arts, Humanities, Languages & Digital Arts department to ensure the courses (learning materials, assignments, assessments, and rubrics) center diversity and equity to serve students across learning styles and educational experiences.
Dr. Kamali is also the award-winning author of "Homegrown Hate: Why White Nationalists and Militant Islamists Are Waging War against the United States" (University of California Press, 2021), which was named a Choice Outstanding Academic Title by the American Library Association.
