Ashleigh Imus

Ashleigh Imus began her career teaching elementary school language arts through the program Teach for America. She later taught expository writing and Italian language courses at Cornell University and Ithaca College. In 2010, after completing a Ph.D. in ancient and medieval Latin and Italian language and literature at Cornell, she started her editorial services business, which serves nonfiction academic, business, and nonprofit clients. After running the business successfully for more than a decade, she was recruited by Cornell to serve as associate managing editor of a top organizational studies journal. She is a member of the Society for Editing.

When she’s not editing or geeking out on the finer points of grammar and syntax, Ashleigh enjoys the challenge of growing flower gardens in upstate New York. She and her daughter are also huge fans of the NBA and NCAA women’s basketball (go UConn Huskies!).

She teaches the Grammar Lab course.
